Background
Dieter Duursma has worked at SAXINGER in Linz since 2001, initially as an associate and then, after passing his law exam in 2004, as a research assistant.
Between 1997 and 2001, he was an assistant at the Institute for Constitutional Law and Political Sciences at the University of Linz under Professor Ordinarius Dr. Herbert Schambeck. For his dissertation entitled “Merger Control of Banks”, he was awarded the Leopold Kunschak Prize and the Research Prize of the Dr. Pfeifauf Foundation.
Dieter Duursma has been a lecturer at the universities of applied sciences in Hagenberg and Steyr since 2005.

Among other things, Dieter Duursma is the co-author of the first comprehensive German-language commentary of the European Insolvency Regulation (published by Springer Verlag), a commentary on the Law against Unfair Competition (published by Verlag Österreich) and a manual on corporate law (published by lexisnexis). He works as a lecturer at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg and Steyr and regularly publishes works on issues of corporate law.
